Landmark reveals new UAE project

Landmark Hotel Group has unveiled a new 237-room 4-star UAE hotel development project.“The steady growth of the tourism industry has offered an excellent opportunity to expand our activities into the hospitality sector. With this new development, we aim to address the growing demand for world-class hotel amenities in Abu Dhabi and strengthen our presence in this rapidly growing market,” said S.M. Sadique, Group Director, Landmark Hotel Group.

The hotel, comprising 227 rooms and 10 suites, will provide all the facilities offered by a premium international 4-star hotel and will also include three restaurants - of which two have panoramic views of downtown Abu Dhabi. Construction of the 22-storey hotel will commence shortly and is expected to be completed in 2009.

Located in Abu Dhabi’s business district on the old airport road, the 4-star hotel is less than 15 minutes away from the Abu Dhabi International Airport, five minutes from the famed Cornice, and a short distance from major shopping centres and tourist spots.

In addition to the deluxe hotel, Landmark will open a 77-room deluxe serviced apartment complex in 2008 as it continues to expand its activities throughout Abu Dhabi. Aside from developing properties, Landmark has been engaged in acquisition and lease of properties as part of its expansion strategy across the region.

Zenath also has business interests in other countries through its Landmark Brand, including a deluxe serviced apartment in Manama, Bahrain, a 4-star hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan, and a deluxe hotel project coming up in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Landmark Hotels, which is a Sharia’-compliant company, also has three hotels in Dubai in its portfolio and is developing several more there.
