bmi increases Barbados flights

5th Dec 2007

Passengers choosing to take a trip to Barbados with bmi now have more choice of when to depart as the airline’s direct service from Manchester has been increased to three times a week.
From Wednesday 5 December, flights will depart on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, offering passengers greater flexibility when planning their sunshine breaks in Barbados in early 2008.

bmi passengers will also be treated to a significantly enhanced in-flight experience. Flying to Barbados in style, they can opt for the front two cabins, the business and premium economy.

Flat beds, boasting a generous 26” seat width and a magnificent seat pitch of 78” - 80”, have recently been installed in the business cabin. With the attention of a dedicated cabin crew and onboard chef, bmi ensures that passengers will arrive in Barbados refreshed and recharged.

The airline also boasts a market leading premium economy cabin, featuring an impressive seat with a 49” pitch, a 50-degree recline and 21” width. Reinforcing the cabin’s exclusivity, it will feature just 30 seats.

bmi airport manager at Manchester, Brian Quinn, comments; “We are expecting a very high number of passengers travelling to Barbados with bmi over the next few months as this is a peak travel period for the Caribbean island.

“With bmi’s competitive prices, plus the introduction of flat beds in the business and a market leading premium economy, we are confident that with these combined factors, the additional flight from Manchester to Barbados will be in high demand,” added Brian.

bmi fares from Manchester to Barbados start from £671 in economy, £1211 in premium economy and £1856 in the business cabin.
