Utell portfolio growth continues

Utell Hotels & Resorts announces results which demonstrate the continuing success of the Utell Collections strategy. Launched earlier this year, Utell Boutique and Utell Luxury Collections have achieved impressive year on year revenue growth for participating hotels, with members of the Boutique Collection witnessing 57% revenue growth and Luxury Collection hoteliers also reporting growth up by 39%.

The latest figures reveal the Collection’s growth during the first eight months of 2007 compared to 2006, and further demonstrates the success of Utell’s segmentation strategy which was launched earlier this year. The Utell Luxury Collection, which reported revenue growth of 30% in September 2007 for the exclusive member hoteliers participating in the scheme, continues to go from strength to strength.

The revenue growth of hotels in both portfolios significantly outperforms many other non-participating Luxury and Boutique hotels that are yet to join the Collections. In addition to the figures for overall revenue growth both Collections have also seen a positive increase in the average spend per room night.

The positive figures are good news for the Collection member hotels, as well as for Utell Hotels & Resorts which earlier this year embarked upon a segmentation strategy. This categorised properties into lifestyle areas such as Luxury, Boutique, Golf and Spa Collections to promote hotels which vary in their architecture, location and atmosphere, but share key characteristics and similar levels of services and experiences worldwide. It is this success which has encouraged Utell to increase the Collections portfolio, with the launch of Utell Business Collection at World Travel Market 2007.

Hotels in the Luxury Collection can be booked by travel agents on the GDS, through calling a local Utell reservations office and they will soon be available on Utell’s dedicated travel agency website, www.UtellAgent.com.  Consumers can also browse and book online via www.UtellCollections.com (or the soon to be launched www.UtellLuxury.com website).
