Czech Airlines unveils site redesign

Czech Airlines is launching another stage of the change in the content and graphics of its website. It is now more logically structured and easier to navigate.  The website is identical in seven language mutations: in addition to Czech, it is available in English, German, Russian, Italian, French, and Spanish.

Furthermore, the site of the OK Plus frequent flyer programme was modified and simplified.  With the “single sign-on” that has been newly implemented, clients can transfer among pages without having to sign-on repeatedly.

Czech Airlines pays due attention to the Internet as a strategic sales channel.  Hence, this year is the year of Internet service improvement.  In the first stage, Czech Airlines made ticket purchases via its Internet booking system significantly simpler, in mid-June.  The booking process is clearly comprehensible and user-friendly.

Czech Airlines has also offered clients an Internet Check-in option.  With it, clients can select their seat on the aircraft and print their boarding passes, from the comforts of home.  Then they can arrive at the airport 35 minutes before their flight, instead of the usual two hours, and go directly to passport and security checks.  If they have baggage, they can first drop it off at a special counter.  The service is now available not only for all flights departing from Prague, Amsterdam, and Paris, but also from Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Berlin, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover, Hamburg, Ko?ice, London Heathrow, Manchester, Marseille, Munich, Riga, Rome, Sofia, Stuttgart, Warsaw, and Zagreb.

“As our next step, we are preparing a further broadening of payments over the Internet.  We want to enable our clients to use the payment mechanism that suits them best.  By the end of the year, passengers will be able to use any card in making a payment, even a basic electronic payment card,” said the Managing Director for Segment Marketing and Management at Czech Airlines, Jan Ka?e.  Furthermore, Czech Airlines will enable its clients to make payments by an online transfer, directly from their bank account.  The Airline is also planning to significantly expand the possibilities for passengers to book hotels at their destination, when they book their tickets.  Clients will also welcome the offer of car hire at preferential conditions at all destinations, via the Czech Airlines website.
