interTouch has signed its 100th hotel customer in Australia.Hotel Ibis Wollongong in New South Wales joins 99 other hotels in Australia, which include the other Accor brands - Sofitel, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, All Seasons, Ibis and Formule 1 - providing interTouch’s fast hotel Internet access for their guests as well as their own staff.

With an unparalleled 96% first-time connection rate, round-the-clock remote network monitoring and a 24-hour toll-free Helpdesk, interTouch continuously upgrades its technology offerings. The innovative iBIS 7.1 is interTouch’s latest version of the company’s proprietary software to manage Internet access for hotels. It is built on the industry-acclaimed iBIS 7.0, a finalist in this year’s InfoVision Awards in the Asia Pacific region.

iBIS enables hotel guests to connect to the highspeed and secure network and enjoy interactive features such as hotel Digital Video on Demand services, which they can pay for securely with their credit cards. “The ability to check emails, upload photos on blogs and send out urgent corporate documents using a secure hotel Internet connection is a necessity for guests in today’s digital age, whether they are traveling for business or leisure,” said Mr Chris Dyball, Vice President of Sales for interTouch in the South Pacific Asia.

Hotels can incorporate their brand identity as well as promote their services and facilities using iBIS with its stable and robust modular system that enables it to support high-traffic Internet activity. Moreover, online booking and review of MICE requirements by hotel staff is also possible.
