ResortsandLodges adds video content

ResortsandLodges.com are launching a major initiative to integrate custom-produced video into its Web site. The
company recently launched a successful pilot program encompassing four
highly-traveled regions on the site, presenting its resort and lodge
partner properties through high-quality video shot and produced by
ResortsandLodges.com.
“Among all the possibilities within rich media, we felt that video was
absolutely ideal for our site and the hospitality and travel industry as a
whole,” said Charles Bailey, President and CEO of ResortsandLodges.com. “It
fits perfectly into our long-standing goal to give our partners the best
possible forum for presenting the unique features and advantages of their
properties.”
The company’s pilot video program included the addition of significant
staff and resources to provide onsite videography and in-house custom video
production for resort and lodge partners in selected niche destinations.
Properties that participated in the program were located in Branson (MO),
Lake of the Ozarks (MO), Estes Park (CO), and Glacier Country (MT) regions
on the ResortsandLodges.com Web site.
The addition of video to ResortsandLodges.com adds to the site’s
recently upgraded functionality which included the development of a
proprietary video player, plus a re-designed, custom landing page for each
resort and lodge partner. Travelers can view a property overview and
contact information with a direct link to the property’s Web site, as well
as unique content, colorful photography and full-motion video clips for
selected resort types and accommodation types.
“We are seeing a direct correlation between the use of high-quality
video and much higher booking rates,” said Ryan Bailey,
ResortsandLodges.com co-founder and vice president. “Video presentation is
proving extremely effective at providing our travelers a deeper
understanding of their upcoming vacation experiences. And that is
translating into higher bookings and more qualified guests for our
partners.”
Following the success of the pilot video program, the company plans to
introduce custom video production into dozens of additional regions
including the North Carolina Mountains, Myrtle Beach (SC), and Lake Tahoe
(CA) in the next year.
“We are committed to video as a better way to better serve our niche,
and as an overall industry trend,” said President and CEO Charles Bailey.
“Providing video production to all of our partners in niche destinations is
a far-reaching way for us bring high-quality, low-cost video production to
the hospitality and travel industry.”
