Emirates Palace in golf focus

Emirates Palace and the Abu Dhabi Golf Club are joining forces to provide in-house guests with a bespoke ‘Royal Experience’ golfing package.  Due to launch in November 2007, this combination of high-end finesse and sporting entertainment epitomizes the very best in resort destination services.

Designed for eager beginners and seasoned players, the perfect day of golf begins with a leisurely breakfast at Emirates Palace followed by a very special transfer to the Abu Dhabi Golf Club in a Rolls Royce, where guests will be greeted by senior management.

During the morning, swing techniques and other golfing skills will be honed with the assistance of highly qualified professional instructors at the on-course Golf Institute, with a short practice game included.  After a gourmet lunch in the clubhouse executive room, tee-off ensues on the 18 hole championship golf course, The National.  In keeping with the ‘Royal Experience’ theme, all on-course transport is provided by chauffeured air-conditioned Rolls Royce golf carts, fully stocked with chilled beverages to be enjoyed throughout the round.  This superior golf outing ends with refreshments back at the clubhouse, where guests will be presented with a DVD film with highlights of the days events before being escorted back to Emirates Palace.

An oasis of tranquility carved out of the desert, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club boasts a challenging 18-hole, par 72 National Course which hosted the PGA European Tour in 2006 and the recent Abu Dhabi Golf Championship; the UAE’s biggest sporting event.  Designed by Peter Harradine and managed by Troon Golf, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, the course has been described as a ‘super course’ by leading sections of the golfing press and world class players such as Sergio Garcia and Colin Montgomery have graced its immaculate greens and fairways.

A luxurious haven for discerning travelers, Emirates Palace takes pride in providing an exceptional guest experience through attentive, personalized service and extraordinary surroundings. “We aspire to always be in tune with the needs and wants of our guests, and the Royal Experience package in association with the Abu Dhabi Golf Club is an excellent example of this,” said Mr. Noel Massoud, General Manager of Emirates Palace.
