Spa brand expands UK portfolio

Tom’s Companies, the group behind the Serenity in the City in Newcastle, is set to open its doors in Scotland’s capital.

Located conveniently on Castle Street in the heart of Edinburgh, Serenity in the City is the first of the urban day spas to venture outside of the North East. 

The huge expansion plan to carry the brand to every major city across the UK will see the Edinburgh day spa open in December and create approximately 12 new jobs and training.

Serenity in the City will consist of seven consulting rooms, including a couple’s rooms and a ‘Fake It’ room, the best in natural spray tans.  The 2,000 square foot spa also includes a ‘Buddha nail bar’, the ‘Wax Pot’, Elemis Skin Lab and a relaxing zen lounge.

Serenity in the City’s interior has been designed by the company’s creative director, Jocelyn Maxfield, who also designed the look for Serenity in the City in Newcastle.

Jocelyn explains; ‘The style of the brand incorporates a contemporary Asian feel with subtle lighting, tactile materials and an emphasis on supreme comfort.  Serenity in the City will be a haven of luxury and tranquillity in the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh’s city centre and an easy and convenient way to relax and feel good.’

Chief Executive Debrah Dhugga, will be heading up the new venture and is excited for its opening; “After the success we have enjoyed over the past year with our urban day spa in Newcastle, we believe that Serenity in the City in Edinburgh will satisfy the demand for men and women who want to relax and be indulged in style.
