Austrian chief voted onto AEA committee

The Chief Executive Officer of Austrian Airlines, Alfred ?-tsch, has been voted onto the Association of European Airlines’ Presidents’ Committee for two years.Since the function is not subject to a rotation principle amongst AEA member airlines, those persons for this high-ranking 12-member committee are nominated, who contribute visionary ideas and actively participate in designing European aviation strategy.

The CEOs of AEA members meet twice a year to discuss the current issues and challenges in European aviation and establish common positions and demands in the industry. Meetings are supervised by the AEA Chairman, who is elected for one year from amongst the CEOs. The Presidents’ Committee supports and advises the AEA Chairman in his decisions and defines joint strategy. 

Alfred ?-tsch made the following statement: “I am pleased to have the opportunity to perform this exciting task in the next two years, and thereby represent the important interests of network carriers and their customers at the European level.”
