Sir Richard Branson repelled 407 feet off the Palms Casino Resort’s Fantasy Tower to celebrate inaugural Virgin America flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas. Later, the star-studded red carpet event at The Wynn for a celebrity charity poker match included: Lauren Conrad & Audrina Patridge (The Hills) as well as World Poker Tour Champ Jamie Gold and SNL vet Norm MacDonald as well as the cast of Showtime’s Vegas-set “Dexter”.

Earlier Virgin America celebrated with an entertainment-studded inaugural flight send-off and ribbon cutting at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). A water cannon salute, showgirls and dancers from La Reve welcomed Virgin America and VIP guests, including Carmen Electra, Virgin America CEO Fred Reid and a lucky couple married on the flight by Virgin Group Founder and Chairman Sir Richard Branson himself!
