SoftBrands adds 5 Best Westerns

Five more Best Western properties have selected SoftBrands’ Medallion
property management system (PMS) to manage availability, rates and
inventory using the Medallion Best Western two-way interface in a month’s
time.
“We wanted a PMS that would help us manage our hotel operations and
would be easy for our seasonal staff to learn,” said Matt Souza, manager at
the Listel, Whistler, British Columbia. “We chose SoftBrands above the
other endorsed vendors because of the level of customization that is
offered with the Medallion product, as well as the on-site training and the
company’s strong reputation for customer service and support.”
In addition to the Best Western Listel, SoftBrands has added Best
Western Robert Treat, Newark, NJ, Best Western Oakland Park, Ft.
Lauderdale, Fl, Best Western Santee, Santee, SC and another in
Aguascalientes, Mexico.
SoftBrands Medallion PMS is gaining momentum within the Best Western
members with recent product enhancements plus the addition of a focused
sales team,” said Joseph Flynn, vice president of sales, SoftBrands
Hospitality. Medallion is a full-featured PMS that offers the ease of use,
rich guest data and sophisticated rate controls hoteliers need to help
maximize room occupancy and revenue per available room.
Best Western International endorsed the SoftBrands’ Medallion PMS in
Feb. 2007 following certification of the Medallion Best Western two-way
interface. The two-way CRS gateway makes it possible to book or update
guest reservations through the Best Western central reservation office,
online or through an individual property using real-time hotel availability
data for Best Western member properties. The two-way interface provides a
smooth flow of information that enables Best Western to sell more
effectively, offer better customer service and give customers greater
control over their reservations.
