Alitalia to halve Europe flights from Malpensa
Alitalia plans to halve the number of flights to European destinations from Milan’s Malpensa airport to 22 from 44 as the troubled airline focuses on its Rome Fiumicino hub, the daily Il Corriere della Sera said, citing the FIT-CISL union. The airline also intends to stop 18 intercontinental flights out of 27 and only keep two domestic routes—Bari and Lamezia—, according to the daily.
