Citi, Expedia expand relationship

Citi and Expedia.com have expanded their partnership with the
launch of the new Citi PremierPass(R) / Expedia.com(R) Card. The launch
comes nearly a year after Citi and Expedia began their relationship with
the introduction of ThankYou Rewards Network on Expedia(R), which more than
one million Expedia customers have joined. Cardmembers who book travel with
the card will reap the benefits of the Citi PremierPass Card, named “Best
Airline Rewards Card” by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine, as well as
the world’s leading online travel agency, Expedia.com.
Now, with the new Citi PremierPass / Expedia.com Card, travelers earn
ThankYou Points for everyday purchases made with the card, additional
points for eligible travel booked on Expedia.com, and points for the miles
they fly on any airline. This combination of ways to earn points is unique
in the industry.
“We heard from our customers that they want a way to earn points for
all of their travel and across travel brands. They also want the ability to
redeem their points for travel when they want, without blackout dates,”
said Paul Brown, President, Expedia(R) North America. “This card does all
of that, and we believe it significantly enhances the value of ThankYou
Network on Expedia.”
“At Citi, we continually look for ways to increase value to our
customers,” said Terry O’Neil, Executive Vice President, Citi Cards. “Our
expanded relationship with Expedia and the new Citi PremierPass /
Expedia.com Card deliver on this commitment by providing accelerated
earning potential to Expedia and Citi customers who acquire the card and
book their travel through Expedia.com.”
