Airlines applaud White House intervention

The Air Transport Association of America has commented on the
White House and Department of Transportation leadership in
addressing aviation congestion within an Aviation Rulemaking Committee
(ARC).
“ATA appreciates the involvement of the White House and the DOT in what
is becoming an increasingly serious national crisis of flight delays,”
said ATA President and CEO James C. May. “We especially appreciate that
the administration has committed to address critical operational
concerns with New York airspace.

“We all pledged to work with the DOT in a unified effort to improve the
customer travel experience and meet customer demand. We will be a full
and active participant in the ARC, where we will advocate strongly for
measures to maximize capacity to meet consumer demand.”
