Kenya Airways enters S America

Kenya Airways has chosen AVIAREPS as its representation in the South American countries of Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. With immediate effect, the world’s leading General Sales Agent (GSA) and tourism marketing company handles the airline’s sales and marketing services within these markets. Ana Maria Forsyth, Sales Manager of Latin America based at the AVIAREPS branch office in Miami, will be responsible for all operations carried out in the South American countries on behalf of Kenya Airways.

Founded in 1977 and located in Nairobi, Kenya Airways emerged from the former East African Airways after the break-down of the East African Community. Until 1996, the airline remains a hundred per cent holding of the Kenyan government. Today, the carrier’s shareholders are Kenyan small and large-scale investors, the Dutch airline KLM, the Kenyan government and foreign investors.

“With a fleet of 23 aircraft, Kenya Airways serves more than 2.5 million passengers annually and flies to 43 destinations in 36 countries, including cities across Africa, as well as Amsterdam, Paris and London and selected destinations in Asia, including Dubai, Mumbai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Bangkok,” says Oliver Kuechler, COO Aviation of AVIAREPS. “We are very proud to support Kenya Airways as their General Sales Agent (GSA) in the fast growing market of South America from now on. With this new appointment, the well-established carrier pins its trust on the excellent sales-boosting know-how of AVIAREPS.”
