Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement for a project in Al Reem, Abu Dhabi, with the owner Tamouh Investments.“Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in the Middle East and has built up an excellent reputation,” explains Joe Ong, CEO of Tamouh Investments LLC. “The international hotel group is in a process of substantial expansion in the United Arab Emirates and we look forward to working together with them for many years to come.”

The island of Al Reem, covering an area of 6.2 million sqm, is situated some 350 meters from the shoreline in the city’s northeast and around 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi’s international airport. Marina Square will occupy 1.2 million sqm of the area, of which 70 % is earmarked for residential districts and 30 % for commercial use. The project encompasses 14 skyscrapers, a shopping arcade, six cinema complexes, a range of premium brand retail outlets, restaurants, as well as the Mövenpick Hotel Al Reem with a view over the Marina. The construction of several bridges will connect the island with the city.

The Mövenpick Hotel Al Reem will boast 445 generous modern rooms and suites, spread across 41 floors. Both business travelers and holidaymakers will feel equally at home in the 130 spacious suites housed in a separate building. An underground car park will offer space for 330 vehicles. A total of four first-class restaurants, one of which will be situated at the beach, will offer a range of culinary delights. The trendy bar located on the roof of the hotel will afford guests breathtaking views.

An area of 3,000 sqm will be covered by the hotel’s flexible conference and banquet complex equipped with state-of-the-art technical facilities. The extensive range of services offered by the hotel will be rounded off by a ballroom catering for up to 1400 guests, as well as a business centre.
