CheapTickets targets Spanish travellers

CheapTickets.com is launching a beta-test to sell travel via Spanish-speaking customer care and telesales agents through a dedicated toll-free number in a bid to cater to the travel needs of Spanish-dominant speaking adults.

“The new CheapTickets telesales number—in the short term—can help us cater to what we believe is an underserved audience,“said Seth Brody, Vice President and General Manager, Hospitality Services and Telesales, Orbitz Worldwide.

“It will also give us insight into the booking trends, patterns and travel products most valuable to our Spanish-speaking customers as we move toward launching a Spanish-language website,” said Brody.

According to the company, through the new telesales center, customers will have the ability to: Receive personalised travel assistance from a Spanish-speaking customer care/telesales agent through call centers based in Panama; and Book travel accommodations from any of CheapTickets’ family of discounted travel products including air, hotel, cruises, vacation packages, activities and event tickets.
