Silverjet commences second NY service

Silverjet has commenced its second daily London Luton to New York Newark service.

The service departed on time, carrying 61 customers, from London Luton at 16:45 and arrived in New York Newark at 19:45; the flight will depart from New York at 21:45 and arrive into London at 09:45. All times are local.

Silverjet also announced in its preliminary results that its new route to Dubai is expected to be launched in November and will fly into the executive terminal at Dubai airport. The service will operate using Silverjet’s third Boeing 767 aircraft which was delivered on 11 September and is being fitted out with 100 6ft 3in beds.

Lawrence Hunt, Chief Executive of Silverjet, said:

We expect the service to strongly appeal to our American customers as it will allow them to visit London and return on the same day without the need to spend the night in the city, it will also give added frequency to our offering which we expect will attract more business air travellers.”
