Press: Design fault causes Bombardier accident

An accident in Denmark with a Bombardier Inc. aircraft operated by Scandinavian airline SAS AB was due to a weakness in the design of the aircraft, reports Dagens Industri Friday citing a Danish aviation authority spokesman.
“All speculation that it was due to a mistake by SAS can be put aside. It’s a matter of a design weakness,” Thorbjoern Ancker at Danish aviation authority SLV.

SLV has made a preliminary investigation into the cause of the accident and will now proceed with a more detailed investigation.
