Virgin America, Sabre ink deal

Virgin America has signed a multi-year
distribution agreement that will allow the airline’s fares and
inventory to be made available to all Sabre Connected travel agents
worldwide.

The Sabre Travel Network distribution agreement with Virgin
America makes all of the airline’s fares available to Sabre-connected
travel agencies and corporations worldwide. Virgin America launched
service on August 8 and offers a host of fun guest features aimed at
bringing a little fun back to flying—including mood-lit cabins; 25
movies on-demand; satellite TV; videogames; and custom-designed
leather seats.

“We are pleased to announce this agreement with Virgin America,”
said Hugh Jones, chief operating officer, Sabre Travel Network. “Sabre
will help Virgin America reach customers through every channel of
travel marketing, sales and distribution.”

The airline agrees that this distribution channel will help get
their fares to travelers in key markets.

“We are delighted to be a part of the Sabre GDS channel,” said
Brian Clark, vice president of Planning and Sales for Virgin America.
“This important distribution channel will allow us to more efficiently
and broadly distribute fares for our San Francisco, New York, Los
Angeles, Washington, DC and Las Vegas routes.”
