Continental applauds US airspace redesign

Continental Airlines has applauded the Federal Aviation Administration for its conclusion of the airspace redesign project for the New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia region, which was announced today. Continental thanked FAA Administrator Blakey and her team for their tremendous effort to bring this ten year project to a close.

The airline said that with this phase of the project completed, it is now very important for airspace redesign to be implemented in order to begin to reduce delays in the New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia region.

“Our customers, who include many residents of the New York/New Jersey metro area, want airlines to be able to run on time,” a spokesman said.

Continental operates a major hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and serves numerous other airports in the region.
