Aer Lingus, unions meet over Belfast dispute

5th Sep 2007

Aer Lingus and the Impact labor union meet up on Wednesday to discuss the dispute over the Irish carrier’s planned Belfast base. Aer Lingus plans to open its Belfast base in December, yet unions in the Republic of Ireland are concerned about pay and conditions at the new base.

Talks are planned after nearly 500 pilots called off a 48-hour strike, which threatened to disrupt around 40,000 passengers.
