Pegasus Solutions has signed a deal with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to continue providing the hotel chain with its Global Commission Services.

“The travel agent community is a key partner for Fairmont and one of our most important distribution channels,” said Jeff Senior, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, executive vice-president, marketing & sales. “With consolidated and timely expensing, Pegasus’ technology ensures commission payments are a seamless and efficient process - a reliability that enables the brand to maintain strong bonds with travel intermediaries worldwide. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Pegasus and to further strengthening Fairmont’s reputation as a global leader in the hotel marketplace.”

Pegasus’ Global Commission Services streamline commission payment and collection for travel agents and travel suppliers, processing an average of $38 million in hotel commissions each month. The company’s commission services customer base includes more than 35,000 properties as well as the majority of the world’s travel agencies and travel distributors in more than 200 countries.

“As one of the world’s leading luxury hotel brands, Fairmont expects quality and care from its service providers and we are proud to be associated with such a well-respected hotel group,” said Mark S. Dubrow, Pegasus president of financial services. “By providing Fairmont with Pegasus’ Global Commission Services, we have enabled the company to focus on their core business, a key goal of Fairmont’s when they originally signed with Pegasus more than eight years ago. We are delighted to build upon this relationship and look forward to providing them breakthrough services in the future.”
