10best acquires Content Works

10Best is acquiring The Content Works, enabling 10Best to significantly expand its online and print-based travel solutions.

Terms of the agreement were not released.

The acquisition allows 10Best, Inc. to take advantage of The Content Works’ print content expertise and vast network of local travel experts. Supplementing its industry-leading in-house team of professional writers and “mystery travelers” throughout the world enables 10Best to continue to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for custom content, travel recommendations, and timely event information.

The content writers and web developers at 10Best produce relevant, useful travel recommendations in a search engine optimized [SEO] format that ultimately drives additional traffic to some of the Internet’s leading travel websites.

Over the years, the Internet has become an invaluable tool for the travel industry—-for both consumers and those companies who serve them.  10Best was an early pioneer in providing real-time, dynamic online travel content supplied by a team of unbiased and un-bought editors and writers. Today, many of the best-known names in travel and hospitality utilize 10Best’s solutions.  Among its key are InterContinental Hotels Group, Carlson Hotels, Starwood Hotels and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

As part of the agreement, The Content Works will continue to operate from London under The Content Works name, and company co-founder, Lisa Plumridge, will stay on as managing director.
