Press: UK airlines call for Heathrow breakup

The UK’s largest airlines have urged the Competition Commission to consider a breakup of London’s Heathrow airport, with different owners taking control of the various terminals to improve the level of service, The Times reports. The airlines urging the breakup of the airport, currently controled by Ferrovial SA’s BAA unit, include British Airways PLC and Virgin Group’s Virgin Atlantic airline, the paper reports.
