Hyatt will officially open Hyatt on the Bund, Shanghai in early October. Hyatt on the Bund, will open for business at the northern end of the famous Bund thoroughfare, noted for its historical colonial-era architecture, that blends with skyscraper-lined Pudong across the Huangpu River.

Hyatt on the Bund will contain 631 rooms, including 52 suites, with 1,859 square metres of meeting and function facilities. There will be two ballrooms with outdoor terraces and a capacity of 560 and 260 respectively (banquet style); a Glasshouse with an outdoor courtyard; and nine multi-purpose meeting rooms. Those on the Bund Club executive floors will enjoy exclusive use of four Bund Club boardrooms.
