Rydges Hotels and Resorts’ 31st Australian property will open next week 50 kilometres south west of Sydney.Stage one of the development will be the opening on Wednesday, 1 August of the 116-room, 4.5 star Rydges Campbelltown hotel, providing much-needed accommodation in the rapidly-expanding Macarthur business precinct.

The second stage, a 4,000 square metre exhibition centre is scheduled to open adjacent to the hotel in March 2008.

Rydges has appointed Ms Joanne Acott as General Manager of. Previously, Joanne was General Manager of Rydges Wollongong.

The new hotel will offer four styles of accommodation - 70 King Rooms, 34 Executive Rooms, eight Spa Executive Suites and four Premium Suites.

The property also will include two conference rooms, a contemporary restaurant and bar, plus its own “micro brewery” opening onto a large alfresco deck and garden area.

Additionally, through close association with the Campbelltown Catholic Club, the new property will offer its guests access to additional facilities including two restaurants, four bars and spacious lounge areas, the Oceana Day Spa, an Aquafit fitness and leisure centre and TAB and Keno facilities.

The Campbelltown Catholic Club also offers an auditorium, three conference rooms and four function rooms.

A range of “stay and play” accommodation packages will be offered shortly in conjunction with the hotel, including golf weekends, spa weekends, Gold Class movie packages and show packages incorporating entertainment options at the Campbelltown Catholic Club.
