Press: Saudi wants Indonesia air safety data

Saudi Arabia has asked Indonesia for information on its aviation safety standards following the recent ban by the European Union on all Indonesian commercial airliners, Kompas daily reported Tuesday. Although Saudi Arabia uses the E.U.‘s aviation policy as a reference, it hasn’t banned Indonesian airliners, said Transportation Minister Jusman Safeii Djamal, according to the report.

State-owned PT Garuda Indonesia is the only Indonesian carrier that flies to Saudi Arabia.
