Carrentals offers language support

Holidaymakers are being offered the chance to top up their language skills this summer, with price comparison site Carrentals.co.uk offering a 20% discount on the popular Earworms rapid language learning CDs.
Part of the Carrentals.co.uk Family Active 2007 campaign, designed to help families make the most of the summer holidays, the saving is available on French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, German, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian Earworms language CDs, with Portuguese launching later in July* and Arabic coming soon.

Available from www.carrentals.co.uk/familyactive2007 Earworms rapid language learning CDs are based on a new approach that uses music to help adults and children learn a foreign language. The method relies on the same brain function that enables catchy song lyrics or ‘earworms’ to be remembered.

Gareth Robinson, marketing director of Carrentals.co.uk, said: “With the school holidays here, Family Active is designed to make it easier and more affordable for families to make the most of the summer.  The Earworms rapid learning method is perfect for both adults and children to get to grips with a language, whether they are travelling abroad or not.  Its innovative approach is proving popular with people around the World, and with the 20% discount we hope it will encourage families across the UK to put it to the test and develop their language skills.”
Created by language tutor Marlon Lodge, Earworms language courses cover vocabulary and grammar without endless repetition of words or phrases.  Lodge found that the human mind has an amazing capacity to retain information far better when it is presented in melodic patterns.  Mimicking the way young children are taught language, the music and tunes that teach vocabulary and structure on Earworms need minimal concentration and can be listened to anywhere.

The full range of Carrentals.co.uk Family Active offers also includes discounted entry at UK attractions such as the JORVIK Viking Centre, The Dungeons, Chester Zoo, The Deep and more; free maps of walks across the UK; plus advice on cycling routes.
