Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will double its presence in New York with two newly developed boutique/lifestyle hotels in Manhattan, which are scheduled to open in 2008 and 2009. This expansion in New York is part of a strategic objective to become a dominant player in the Manhattan boutique-hotel scene, which started for Kimpton with the opening of the 70 Park Avenue Hotel, followed by its Muse Hotel.
