Iberostar opens hotel on Black Sea Riviera

Iberostar Hotels and Resorts have opened a new hotel on the popular Black Sea Riviera in Bulgaria - Iberostar Nessebar Palace Hotel. This is the first of two new openings for Iberostar in Bulgaria this year, with the Iberostar Bjala Beach Resort Hotel set to open by the end of 2007.

Once both are open, there will be six Iberostar hotels in Bulgaria in total, all rated four-star or above and with beachside locations.

Heike Genshow, Marketing Director for Iberostar Hotels & Resorts comments: “Iberostar was one of the first hotel groups to realise the potential of the Bulgarian Riviera and we are delighted to have increased our portfolio by opening another hotel in the destination. The new hotel will cater to the increasing demand for luxury beach holidays, but at an extremely attractive price.”

Iberostar Nessebar Palace Hotel, which opened in April, is located near the town of Nessebar - a UNESCO World Heritage Protected town also near the Black Sea. The five-star hotel has sublime sea views and is within walking distance of the village of Ravda. The golden-sand Sunny Beach is also nearby.

Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, two restaurants, three bars and a spa and wellness area, which will open in July. The spa and wellness area features a Turkish hammam, aromatherapy treatments and a Finnish sauna. The 335 rooms, including four luxury suites, all have either a balcony or a terrace. Sports facilities include a fitness hall, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, and watersports at the beach.

For children, there is an outdoor children’s pool, a three-storey play castle and a MiniClub. Accommodation is available on a half board basis, which includes buffet breakfasts and dinners. Lunches and drinks are available at the Pool Bar.

Iberostar will open another new hotel in Bulgaria later this year - Iberostar Bjala Beach Resort Hotel, near the historic resort town of Byala. This four-star hotel will be situated directly on a sandy beach, with restaurants, bars and tavernas nearby. All 457 rooms will have balconies, many with views across the Black Sea.

Facilities will include a bar and restaurant, wellness centre and a beauty salon. There will also be a swimming pool with a bar and sun terrace set within the gardens.  For families, there will be special family rooms, a children’s pool and a playground. Accommodation will be available on an all-inclusive basis, with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, drinks and snacks included.
