JAL begins Tokyo-Delhi service

Japan Airlines Corp will commence a daily flight service between Tokyo and New Delhi from October 28, 2007. This is in response to the strong business demand on the route. JAL started offering the Tokyo - New Delhi route in 1965. The company had initially planned to increase flight frequency from the current four flights to five flights per week from October 1, 2007, however, has decided to further increase frequency to a daily service, reflecting an increase in demand primarily from business passengers.

The flight frequency changes are subject to government approval.
