Virgin Atlantic announced it has signed up to participate in the Business Travel Show which will take place at the Madinat Jumeirah on 29 & 30 October 2007. Andrew Fyfe, Regional Manager Middle East and Indian Ocean commented, ‘We are regular exhibitors at the London Business Travel Show and are very excited to be participating in the first Business Travel Show in Dubai.’
On arrival last year Virgin Atlantic set out to offer a competitive product and service for both business and leisure travellers. Fyfe said, ‘Business class is an extremely competitive market in this region and our Upper Class product has been extremely well received in the Dubai, providing passengers with a unique and innovative product which includes the award winning Upper Class Suite - the biggest flat bed in its class, chauffeur driven transfers to and from the airport, inflight beauty therapy, London Heathrow Drive Thru Check In and Clubhouse at Heathrow.
In September 2006 Virgin Atlantic announced it had spent $12 million revamping its Premium Economy product. This revamp includes a bigger more comfortable leather seat, dedicated cabin with devoted crew, new meal service served on chinaware with priority check-in and boarding. Aimed at the cost conscious business traveller and upper end leisure passenger this cabin was voted best Premium Economy by Business Traveller in 2006. ‘This truly is a value for money product which has seen high load factors since it commenced on the Dubai - London route early this year and we look forward to showcasing both our Upper Class and Premium Economy products, both ideally suited to meet the needs of today’s business traveller, added Fyfe.
