Delta Air Lines and Avis Budget Group are making it more convenient for SkyMiles members to book car reservations through Delta. Through Aug. 31, 2007, members can earn 1,000 bonus miles and 1,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) by booking their Avis or Budget car rental through delta.com or a Delta reservation agent.

“Offering two quality rental car brands and a deep understanding of our customers, Avis Budget Group now adds greater value for millions of SkyMiles members through our preferred partnership,” said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program. “Together we continue to offer exciting incentives and even more opportunities for our customers to earn travel-related rewards.”

The preferred partnership enables SkyMiles members to book their car reservations on delta.com or be transferred directly by a Delta reservation agent to Avis Budget Group. Members booking via these channels enjoy special bonus mileage offers, promotions and discounts.
