The Cotswolds and Forest of Dean Destination Management Organisation (DMO) has launched the updated website, www.cotswolds.com, with a new comprehensive events listing, covering all activities and events taking place across the Cotswolds area.
With extensive events listings including the like of Charcoal Burn, the opportunity to see how charcoal was made to fuel the iron industry from prehistoric times until the industrial revolution, to Gloucester Ghost Walks, a spooky night of thrills and entertainment, there’s certainly no shortage of ideas to explore.
As well as details on anything and everything that is taking place in the region, the site has a wide-ranging and impartial guide to all types of accommodation. Visitors can create their own personal visitor guide with particular items of interest to them, or they can download a range of different brochures, guides and maps.
Chris Dee, Tourism Manager at the Destination Management Organisation, commented “The new website uses some clever new technology to gather ‘what’s on’ information from other websites. The result is the ultimate Cotswolds event listing that is proving a hit with both visitors and local people.”
