Hotwire named best hotel site

The Market Metrix Hospitality Index (MMHI) recently revealed the results of its customer satisfaction report for the first quarter of 2007, awarding Hotwire® top honors among hotel travel Web sites.

The MMHI, which gathers feedback from 35,000 U.S.-based customers, is the largest and most in-depth measurement of hotel, airline and car rental performance available today. Coming on the heels of similar recognition from J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Independent Travel Web Site Satisfaction StudyTM, this award marks the second year that Hotwire has held Market Metrix’s highest ranking in customer satisfaction.

“We are honored to be recognized by Market Metrix as the leading Hotel Travel Website,” said Eric Grosse, senior vice president and general manager at Hotwire.com. “We take great pride in this recognition because delivering the best in customer experience and travel deals is paramount to Hotwire.”

Hotwire has exclusive contracts with leading travel companies and offers consumers low rates that can’t be found anywhere else. Through Hotwire, hotels are able to fill rooms that would otherwise be unsold, allowing price-conscious travelers to book four-star hotels at two-star prices.

Hotwire offers deeply discounted rooms at more than 19,000 hotels in North America, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
