Hong Kong airport sees 8% traffic rise

Hong Kong International Airport saw a 7.5 per cent rise in passenger traffic in May compared with the same period of last year, to 3.81 million, the Airport Authority said. According to the figure released by the authority, boosted by busy traffic, aircraft movements grew 6.5 per cent year-on-year to 24,760 flights over the month. Cargo throughput also grew 3.7 per cent to 294,000 tons, from a rebound in demand for export shipments.
