Press: Delta may place $20 bn Boeing order

Delta Air Lines Inc. may order as many as 125 Boeing Co. 787 jetliners by the end of this year, The Wall Street Journal Online reported on Tuesday, citing Delta’s operating chief Jim Whitehurst. The order, still being negotiated, would be valued at an estimated $20 billion at list prices, according to the report.

“We are having conversations with several aircraft makers but no final decision has been made on Delta’s future fleet purchase,” Delta spokeswoman Chris Kelly said.
