Sloan takes Novotel London role
Michael Sloan has been appointed as the new general manager at Novotel London West. Michael Sloan has spent more than 24 years in the hotel Industry. He
started his career in London working in various management roles
including Deputy Manager for the Forte Crest Group at its Bloomsbury and
Regents Park hotels.
In 1991 Sloan moved to Taiwan to work as the Resident Manager at The
Sherwood Hotel in Taipei, before retuning to the UK to move his way up
into more senior management roles. In 1998 he worked for Corus & Regal
Hotels as General Manager of the Plaza in Hyde Park and Area Manager of
the Richmond Gate and Hill Hotels.
In 2000 Sloan moved to work for the Thistle Hotels Group working at two
of its hotels in the capital. He remained with the Thistle Group where
he became Cluster General Manager in 2003 responsible for the management
of five, 4 star hotels in Central London.
Michael was appointed as General Manager of the Down Hall Country House
Hotel in 2004 where he was charged with redeveloping the property. In
2005 he was appointed as General Manager of the prestigious Oakley Court
Hotel in Windsor.
He assumed his current role as the General Manager of the Novotel London
West in May. Novotel is Accor’s mid market hotel brand and is delighted
to welcome Michael on board.
