Rezidor opens 5 Park Inns in Germany

Rezidor is to open 5 new Park Inn hotels in Germany. Therefore extending the mid market Park Inn portfolio in Germany to 18 hotels.Three former Novotel and two Dormotel properties will be rebranded as Park Inn hotels.

In total, Rezidor adds 657 rooms to its portfolio which now features more than 300 hotels in operation and under development across EMEA.

The Park Inn Mannheim with 180 rooms will join the system in July 2007. In September 2007, the Park Inn Düsseldorf Süd (118 rooms) is scheduled to be rebranded, and October 2007 will see the Park Inn Bielefeld (118 rooms) joining the family. In early 2008, the Park Inn Hamburg Nord (120 rooms) and the Park Inn Mainz (121 rooms) will complete the deal.

The new properties will be operated by Rezidor’s franchise partner Event Holding which already runs seven existing Park Inn hotels in the country. “We are glad to extend our partnership with Rezidor and to put it on a broader common basis”, says Michael Bauer, Director of Operations of Event Holding.
