Sabre acquires E-Site Marketing

Sabre Holdings has acquired E-site Marketing, the premier Internet marketing company specializing in online business solutions exclusively for the hospitality industry. By combining industry-leading Internet marketing and distribution products and services, E-site Marketing and SynXis will create an unmatched online offering for hoteliers, including search engine expertise, Web site hosting and development, content management, booking engine, statistical reporting and tracking tools and revenue management services.

“Hospitality is a fast growing sector and an area of strategic growth for Sabre Holdings,” said Tom Klein, group president of Sabre Holdings. “We believe both E-site Marketing and the entire E-site team are tremendous assets that will further build on Sabre’s best-in-class portfolio. E-site Marketing has an outstanding reputation in the industry as reflected in their impressive customer base and success stories. The addition of these assets will continue to position Sabre as the leading hospitality service provider across the globe.”

“By aligning with Sabre and SynXis, E-site Marketing is joining an industry leader that shares the vision of leveraging Web technologies in order to strengthen hoteliers’ marketing efforts,” said Felix Laboy, co-founder and president of E-site Marketing. “I view this relationship as a strategic opportunity to take E-site Marketing to the next level for the benefit of all our customers and employees. This collaboration and integration of resources will further enhance E-site Marketing’s commitment to superior innovation in technologies and services that help hotels, resorts and destinations capture a critical, growing market segment.”
“The dynamic and evolving nature of Web and search engine marketing presents formidable challenges for any company seeking to enter this space as a casual endeavor. One of the many qualities that attracted us to E-site Marketing was their approach to the education and training of their staff,” noted Scott Alvis, president and general manager of SynXis. “Their knowledge and expertise combined with an aggressive commitment to superior customer service are invaluable assets. Their success in the adoption and integration of emerging technology solutions such as Web 2.0, RSS technology, social media strategy and monitoring, and the establishment of key performance indicators will greatly enhance hoteliers,” added Alvis.

Under the terms of the acquisition, Laboy will join Sabre, continuing as president of E-site Marketing. He will direct and manage all aspects of the E-site Marketing business, working closely with SynXis and Sabre’s other business units. E-site Marketing will continue to maintain operations, service their existing customers and retain all of their current talent based out of their Bethesda, Md., offices.

The acquisition of E-site Marketing further demonstrates Sabre’s commitment to selling more room nights for hotels than any other company in the travel industry.
