Airlines, has continued the expansion of its European flight network
with the start of nonstop service between Northwest’s WorldGateway at
Detroit hub and Dusseldorf.Flight 94 departed Detroit
fifteen minutes early at 9:15 p.m. on June 5 and arrived in Dusseldorf
at 11:33 a.m. local time today.
“Northwest is pleased to begin serving Dusseldorf, a popular
destination for both business and leisure travelers,” said Phil Haan,
executive vice president - international, alliances and information
technology and chairman of NWA Cargo. “Northwest’s nonstop service
will provide Detroit and the Heartland of America with convenient
access to Dusseldorf, our second nonstop destination in Germany.”
Northwest’s new nonstop Detroit-Dusseldorf service will initially
operate five days per week. Beginning June 15, 2007, the flight will
be offered on a daily basis.
