Delta reveals management shake-up

Delta Hotels have unveiled a number of management changes inclding Dan DeSantis who has become general manager of Delta Lodge at Kananaskis.Previously, DeSantis
was general manager of Delta Sun Peaks Resort for five years, opening the 220-room
resort in late 2002, and sat on the boards of both Tourism Sun Peaks and the
Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association. His 26-year career began with Delta Hotels in
1981 and includes senior postings, largely in Western Canada, with Delta Hotels,
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Banff’s Rimrock Hotel, in the food and beverage
and operations divisions. DeSantis replaced James Tingley, now general manager at
Delta Bow Valley in downtown Calgary.

Eda Koot is now general manager of the 220-room Delta Sun Peaks Resort in Sun Peaks,
British Columbia. Koot was general manager at Tantalus Resort, a Whistler property
managed by Delta Hotels, for the past two and a half years. Koot began her career
with Delta Hotels in 1983 at Calgary’s Delta Bow Valley and has held management
positions, largely in Western Canada, with Delta Hotels and Fairmont Hotels and
Resorts. This SAIT graduate replaced Dan DeSantis, who transferred to Delta Lodge at
Kananaskis.

Kevin Wyer has become general manager of Delta Pinestone Resort, a 103-room property
in the heart of Ontario’s Haliburton Highlands. A graduate of the company’s
executive development program, FastTrackers, Wyer, who transferred from Delta
Halifax, joined the company in 2001. His 20-year career in the hospitality industry
has included positions with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, in the rooms and operations
divisions. Wyer replaced Scott de Savoye, now general manager at Delta Grandview
Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.
