Millennium joins Etihad Guest programme

Etihad Airways and Millennium and Copthorne Hotels have formed a new partnership which enables members of Etihad’s frequent flyer programme to earn miles when staying at any of the group’s 67 hotels. Members of the airline’s ‘Etihad Guest’ loyalty scheme, from 1 June, will have the opportunity to earn 500 miles with each stay at one of Millennium and Copthorne’s hotels around the world.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ executive vice president marketing and product, said:

‘This agreement is another example of how Etihad Guest members can enjoy the benefits of the programme wherever they are in the world. Furthermore, by earning 500 miles with each stay at a Millennium and Copthorne hotel, our members will be able to increase significantly the value of their account.’

Etihad Guest was launched in August 2006 and since then has gained more than 130,000 members worldwide, as well as recently winning two major industry awards at the loyalty programme industry’s most prestigious event, the ‘Freddies’ in the USA.

Peter Papas, group chief executive of Millennium and Copthorne Hotels, said: ‘We look forward to welcoming members of the Etihad Guest programme into our world of hospitality. Our shared beliefs are to provide the highest possible quality of service and value for money to the consumer wherever they choose to fly and to stay.’
