Skyscanner enhances flight search

SkyScanner is launching its Multi-Hop Flight Search, giving UK travellers now have access to over 4,850 indirect, as well as 1005 direct routes to 69 worldwide destinations via low cost airlines.

With SkyScanner’s latest flight search innovation, users simply have to enter a departure point and final destination and the Multi-Hop Flight Search will find the cheapest route by automatically combining a series of budget flights.  With search results displayed in seconds, it is the World’s fastest ever budget flight search engine for low-cost, multi-hop flight options.

Multi-Hop Flight Search can also find availability for flights with a high demand: Liverpool to Athens for the Champions League final can be found for £682 (via Berlin, 22-25 May 2007)

By utilising the Multi-Hop Flight Search users can search for low cost flights with up to three ‘hops’ in any one search - opening up a host of new worldwide destinations from any given departure airport.  The new search ensures users are always able to find the most suitable routes to any destination at the lowest prices. It will not only give people a far greater choice of destinations from the regional airports but will also open up the options for people who travel from the main airports, who often only have the choice of long haul routes from the scheduled airlines.

Gareth Williams, CEO of SkyScanner comments: “As Europe’s leading flight search engine we constantly strive to provide the best ways to find low cost flight options. The launch of the new Multi-Hop Flight Search is a very exciting addition to SkyScanner.net - we can now give users easy access to hundreds of new global destinations served by low cost airlines in one simple search and deliver the results in less than a second! A major step forward in flight search engine technology.”
