PATA Travel Mart (PTM) will take place in Bali for the third time, when the Indonesian Ministry of Culture and Tourism hosts the September 25-28 event.“For Indonesia, the Mart is ‘just what the doctor ordered’—a leading, global travel trade event to remind the industry that Bali, Indonesia, is one of the world’s great destinations,” said PATA President and CEO Mr Peter de Jong.
“Hosting the Mart will demonstrate that the country’s tourism industry has recovered from the earthquake and the Bali bombs,” said Mr Tatang Rukhiyat, the Ministry’s Director of International Promotion.
PATA’s ties with Indonesia and Bali extend back to 1957, when the Ministry joined the Association. Bali hosted PTM in 1985 and 1989 and also a successful PATA Annual Conference in the midst of the SARS crisis in 2003.
PTM07 will take place at the Bali International Convention Centre, Nusa Dua, September 25-28.
