Old Edwards unveils womans retreat

Old Edwards Inn and Spa has announced details of its
second annual Women’s Wellness Retreat in conjunction with the renowned
Cleveland Clinic September 9-13, 2007.Various packages for the retreat
offer guests the ability to customize their level of participation. Retreat
overnight packages include deluxe accommodations at the Inn or The Lodge,
all traditional Old Edwards amenities, daily wellness lectures presented by
the Cleveland Clinic, access to the Fitness Center and a variety of fitness
classes and instruction, access to the Spa Amenities Building and outdoor,
heated mineral sal*censored*er lap pool. Gourmet wellness cuisine for breakfast,
lunch and dinner, all snacks and metabolic beverages each morning are
included.

Sample Daily Schedule
7:00a.m. Morning Flex and Stretch and Metabolic Beverage
9:30a.m. Yoga or Wellness Lecture
11:00a.m. Healthy Cuisine Cooking Demonstration and Lunch Buffet
1:00 p.m. Total Toning Class or Spa Pedicure
2:30p.m. Water aerobics or Wellness Lecture
4:00p.m. Massage or enjoy the steam room, whirlpool and sauna
5:30p.m. Dinner in Madison’s
7:30p.m. Musical entertainment in the Hummingbird Bar and Library

Each day will feature multiple Wellness Lectures on varying topics. Dr.
Tanya Edwards, Medical Director for the Center for Integrative Medicine
Clinical Practice will present topics on Integrative Therapies for
Menopause, Integrative Therapies for Cardiovascular Disease and Integrative
Approaches to Cancer Treatments and Prevention. Staff members including a
Dietician, Mind-Body Coach and Reiki Master will accompany Dr. Edwards.
Topics for discussion include: Preventive Nutrition with Whole Foods, The
Healing Touch of Reiki, Laughter Therapy and Relaxation Techniques.

The Fitness Center will be offering a variety of new activities and classes
this year. One addition to this retreat will be water aerobics in our new
outdoor heated, mineral sal*censored*er lap pool. Yoga, fitness training, aerobic
conditioning and weight training will also be available for retreat guests.

During the evening hours, guests will be invited to attend an exclusive
trunk show of the collection of elegant yet trendy, semi-precious stone
jewelry from Designer Coralia Leets in Acorns. Evening entertainment will
also be offered in the Library and Hummingbird Bar on other evenings.
 
Women?s Wellness participants will receive a personalized Wellness
Consultation prior to arrival. Wellness consultants will help guests
identify and outline goals for the week to allow each participant the
maximum benefit of the retreat. Guests may participate in activities as much
or as little as they would like and are encouraged to use the retreat as a
way to focus on relaxation, awareness and achieving an optimal state of
wellbeing that they can then take back to their everyday life.
