Starwood and Access Hotel Advisors have announced a combined Westin and Element brand hotel developments to be built in Chantilly, Virginia. Owned by Commonwealth Centre Investors, LLC, an affiliate of BPG Properties, Ltd., The Westin Chantilly and Element Chantilly Westfields will be an integral part of Commonwealth’s master planned development - Commonwealth Centre. Construction on both properties is scheduled to begin in May 2008 with openings slated for Spring 2009.
Upon completion, Commonwealth Centre will offer more than two million square feet of office and retail space in one of the largest undeveloped parcels of land in Westfield’s International Corporate Center. The Westin Chantilly will be built across the street from Element Chantilly Westfields, which will be located at the center of this premier mixed-use complex. Located in Virginia’s high-tech corridor, Chantilly is just minutes from the Dulles Expo Center, three miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and 24 miles from Washington D.C., providing easy access to the city’s businesses and leisure attractions.
