A 12-member delegation from the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) visited Singapore and Malaysia to familiarise themselves with tourism industry in those countries. The delegation which met officials from both the private and public sectors also conducted workshops to revisit and review the Malaysian and Singaporean experiences in the field of tourism promotion.
Malaysia and Singapore recently succeeded to achieve massive tourism boom, raking as top tourism destinations in Asia.
The ADTA delegation was briefed on different aspects of strategic planning, tourism product development, licensing and classification systems, management and development of human resources, finance and administration, IT, marketing and other areas related to tourism development.
The ADTA aim in engaging its staff is in such trips is to enhance their expertise and skills and offer them an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in countries which have achieved remarkable successes in the tourism.
