Press: Kingfisher pushes for US-India service

India’s Kingfisher Airlines plans to submit an application to starting an airline in US that could operate international flights to India, The Times of India reported citing chairman and managing director Vijay Mallya. Mallya said final clearances could then take six to eight months.

The airline has also asked the Indian government to relax the rule that says an Indian airline must operate for at least five years before launching international services, the paper said.
